Dr. Brenda Appiah is a Texas-licensed dentist at Plano Modern Dentistry. Her practice focuses on general dentistry, digital dentistry, Invisalign, and removable dentistry. She is keen on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Under her leadership, the office has achieved a yearly revenue of $2.5 million, grown in patient base, and developed a positive reputation in the community.
Dr. Appiah holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and a Master’s in Education for Healthcare Professionals (MEd) from Texas A&M University. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Appiah serves as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where she works side-by-side with AGD students in the dental clinic, focusing on incorporating digital dentistry workflow into patient care. She has served in a variety of other professional and educational roles, including being a mentor for pre-dental students and a teacher for the SPEP Collegiate enrichment program, where she helped students prepare for the DAT and strengthen their dental school applications.
Throughout her career, Dr. Appiah has been committed to service and outreach. She has volunteered her dental expertise both locally and internationally, including for Texas Mission of Mercy, Special Smiles at the Special Olympics, Christian Dental Ministries in Jamaica, Operation Lone Star, and as Dental Team Lead Dentist for the Brain Project in Ghana.
Dr. Appiah is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and she is affiliated with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, and Delta Sigma Delta, among others.
