Chloe Reading is a Registered Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Specialist with extensive experience in disability, mental health, ageing, rehabilitation and functional capacity practice across the lifespan. She is the Clinical Lead of Functional Capacity Partners, an independent multidisciplinary assessment and consultancy service providing comprehensive functional, psychosocial and medico-legal assessments throughout Australia.

Ms Reading specialises in the assessment of functional impairment, disability-related support needs, psychosocial functioning, community participation, parenting capacity, educational participation, and complex support requirements. Her practice encompasses children, adolescents, adults and older persons presenting with a broad range of disabilities and mental health conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, acquired and neurological conditions, psychosocial disability, complex trauma, and co-occurring presentations.

Ms Reading has substantial experience undertaking comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments, Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments, parenting capacity assessments, mental health assessments, school participation assessments, rehabilitation and recovery assessments, and complex psychosocial evaluations. She regularly conducts detailed reviews of extensive historical material, collateral information, clinical records and multidisciplinary evidence to formulate independent opinions regarding functional performance, support needs, risk and prognosis.

Her medico-legal practice includes the preparation of independent expert reports for legal representatives, tribunals, government agencies and private parties. Areas of expertise include disability and functional impairment, capacity and decision-making, psychosocial functioning, parenting and protective capacity, rehabilitation, educational participation, and the functional impact of disability across home, community, educational and vocational environments.

Ms Reading's approach is evidence-based, impartial and grounded in contemporary biopsychosocial and functional assessment frameworks. All opinions are provided independently and in accordance with the expert witness obligations owed to the Court and Tribunal.
