I am a cognitive scientist and my research examines the mechanisms of human memory, with a particular focus on visual memory and memory errors. My work investigates how people encode, store, and reconstruct complex visual stimuli, and why these processes sometimes lead to systematic distortions or false memories. Understanding these memory errors helps us learn more about how the brain works and has implications for areas ranging from eyewitness testimony to everyday decision-making. I teach university Psychology students about perception, memory, and the cognitive processes that shape how we experience the world, and how we can often get these things wrong.
