Additional Information

I bring close to twenty years working at the intersection of technology delivery and business leadership, including direct, firsthand experience managing a significant IT services contract dispute through to resolution - engaging insurers, insurance lawyers, and external counsel, alongside board oversight, to protect the business.

My background spans technical delivery, consulting, and executive leadership. I began in enterprise architecture and pre-sales delivery at Dimension Data/NTT, then led consulting and digital transformation advisory at Telstra, working directly with government, commercial, and enterprise clients. For close to four years I was CEO of Idea 11, a national IT consulting and managed services business, where I held full P&L accountability for an 80-person organisation and, for most of my tenure, also acted as de facto CIO - owning technology strategy, systems, and vendor and contract management directly.

That combination gives me a practical, commercially grounded view of how IT services engagements are scoped, delivered, and sometimes go wrong: managed services and consulting delivery models, vendor and contract management, systems and technology implementation, cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft), and the governance frameworks (including ISO 27001 and ISO 9001) that sit around them. I've been the executive accountable when delivery underperformed, when vendor relationships broke down, and when a contract dispute escalated to formal legal threats - not observing these situations from the outside, but owning them.

I'm comfortable translating technical and commercial complexity into plain, practical terms for legal teams and courts, and bring an operator's understanding of what reasonable delivery, scope, and vendor conduct actually looks like in a live IT services environment - not just in theory.

I now run Second Vantage, an independent technology advisory practice, and I'm available for expert witness and litigation support engagements involving IT services delivery, managed services contracts, technology vendor disputes, and related commercial or operational matters.
