John Rundell is a former partner of KPMG Australia where he had a specialist global practice role. While with KPMG, Mr. Rundell worked extensively in Asia, Europe and the US. He has had over 25 years of professional experience in Merchant Banking and as a Chartered Accountant. Today he acts as an Arbitrator and Mediator accepting direct appointments, has been nominated and appointed by The Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators, The Chartered Institute of Accountants, and the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
John has degrees in Engineering and Economics and an MBA from the University of Melbourne. He also graduated as a Master of Laws specialising in Global Business Law in 2007. He is a member of a number of Professional Accounting and Arbitral bodies including being a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Public Practice Certificate. He is also a registered Tax Agent in Australia.
Mr Rundell is a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia and is a graded Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London). He completed the Advanced Certificate in Arbitration from The University of Adelaide Law School in 2003 obtaining a distinction. He completed the Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
Mr Rundell uniquely combines many years of professional Accounting, technical, and advisory experience with training and experience in Arbitration, Law and Mediation. He has advised in industries including Banking, Engineering and Manufacturing, Information Communications and Technology, and Government in Australia across Asia and around the world.
