Additional Information
Nasser is an independent expert in materials and surface performance, with particular expertise in slip resistance, pedestrian safety, lighting and luminance assessment, and dimensional measurement of built elements in accordance with relevant standards. As Director and Principal Consultant of a NATA-accredited ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory, he has over a decade of senior experience in laboratory governance, testing methodology, and standards-based assessment.
Nasser’s work involves the interpretation and application of Australian and international standards, evaluation of compliance and non-compliance, and consideration of the limitations of standards in real-world environments. He provides expert opinion in matters involving slips, trips and falls, accessibility-related assessment, and building defect disputes, through the assessment of stairs, ramps, landings, walkways, surface conditions, and luminance contrast against applicable standards.
He also provides expert opinion in occupational health and safety and personal injury contexts, through the assessment of lighting and luminance conditions, surface characteristics, and dimensional features of built environments against relevant standards.
