I have over 30 years experience reviewing and investigating the operations of corrective services in Queensland, Victoria and the ACT. I have also reviewed and advised on the operations of forensic disability services in Victoria and Queensland and immigration detention centres throughout Australia. In total, I have conducted in excess of 150 reviews and investigations. Concerning juvenile detention, I oversighted (2019-2023) the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre (ACT) and have prepared several expert witness reports on children in custody regarding use-of-force, isolation/segregation and assault issues.
I have also prepared numerous expert witness reports for lawyers representing Plaintiffs or Defendants.
