Mr. Stone earned a bachelor’s degree (Honours) from Southampton University and holds a postgraduate professional certificate in Arbitration. He is a Fellow and Forensic Accounting Specialist of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). A member and Financial Forensic Professional of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Mr. Stone also holds a Victorian Private Security Individual Licence.

Mr. Stone has served as an expert witness in forensic accounting matters, including the preparation of expert reports and/or giving oral testimony in the Australian Federal Court, the Supreme Court and County Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the High Court of Singapore, the Supreme Court of Vanuatu. He has given evidence in arbitrations in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the US.
Mr. Stone is an expert in matters involving quantification of economic loss, intellectual property disputes, auditor negligence, and has provided expert determinations and served as a Special Referee. He also has experience in conducting complex forensic accounting investigations into fraud and corruption allegations. Mr. Stone has worked with clients in various industries, including aerospace, advertising, agribusiness, automotive, construction, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, logistics, mining, pharmaceuticals, property development, retail, software, telecommunications, and utilities.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Stone spent more than 15 years with KordaMentha, serving most recently as Partner. Previously, he was the Oceania Head of Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services for a Big Four consultancy, managing a 50+ team across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Mr. Stone also spent over seven years in the Singapore office of a Big Five firm.
