Dr Prakash Nair is an independent scientific and technical consultant with nearly 20 years of experience across food safety, molecular diagnostics, analytical testing and regulated laboratory environments. He provides independent scientific opinion, expert witness services and technical review in matters involving laboratory testing, analytical methods, food analysis and interpretation of scientific evidence.
Dr Nair specialises in food allergen testing, food authenticity and suspected food fraud, GMO analysis, laboratory method evaluation and ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory systems. His expertise includes ELISA, real-time PCR and lateral flow immunoassays, with extensive experience in analytical method development, validation, verification, troubleshooting and assessment of analytical reliability.
He is appointed as a NATA Technical Assessor for ISO/IEC 17025 testing laboratories and has formal training in expert witness practice under Australian court procedures. Throughout his career he has worked with accredited commercial laboratories and clinical research organisations, evaluating complex laboratory data, analytical performance and scientific reliability.
